The UF-CPC100 / 200 measure the total number concentration of ultra-fine and nanoparticles suspended in air and gases.

The instruments operate by increasing the size of the particles contained in a sample gas flow, through condensation of saturated vapour in a heated saturator / cooled condenser arrangement to form droplets around the particles to make them large enough to be counted by optical counter.

CPC's / CNC's have been around for many years, but the new and patented design of the UF-CPC allows a large range of fluids, including water, to be used as the condensing agent. Coupled with a high concentration single particle counting capability, this makes UF-CPC a flexible and capable instrument. Additionally, the optical sensor can give information regarding the size of the counted droplets, allowing feedback on the performance of the condensation process.

Control and monitoring of the instrument is made through the touch panel display, that can be customised for the user if required. Networking and remote control capability is impressive, as UF-CPC supports a standardised interface for process control applications with protocols including for example, Modbus and offers features such as remote access and data storage on www or internal networks.

Specialised designs to handle potentially aggressive aerosols e.g. acids are available on request.
