The HTM 1000 allows oil mist separator testing at higher temperatures and characterisation of hot oil aerosols.

With the modular testing system HMT 1000 oil separators can be characterized quickly, accurately and isothermally up to 150°C in line with the real application use e.g. for the separation of blow-by aerosols in combustion engines or for the separation of oil vapour behind compressors and vacuum pump exhausts. It allows the measurements of :

  • Fractional separation efficiency
  • Loading time / Lifetime
  • Total separation efficiency / gravimetry
  • Pressure drop

which can also be simply removed from the HMT 1000 and used for other applications as required e.g. measurements directly on the engine.

Since the launch in 2001 the HMT 1000 filter test rigs have continued to be successfully specified for this difficult area of measurement and are found in major industry users worldwide.
