LDD System

The dilution of large droplets is of particular interest for the measurement of highly concentrated droplet aerosols, e.g. in the blowby at the engine or for a clear determination of the aerosol concentration in raw and clean gas at compressed air filter efficiencies and for the characterisation of cooling lubricant separators. The newly developed dilution systems LDD 10 and LDD 100 for droplets and dusts up to 10 µm are also available as heatable version up to 120 °C to avoid condensation in sampling. This makes the LDD 10 and LDD 100 the first dilution system that has been proven to dilute large droplets almost loss-free.
