The CIF 2000 test rig enables standard testing on automotive cabin air filters according to DIN 71460-1:2006 Road vehicles - Air filters for motor passenger compartments - Part 1: Test for particulate filtration and ISO/TS 11155-1:2001 Road vehicles -- Air filters for passenger compartments -- Part 1: Test for particulate filtration.

The CIF 2000 enables the volume flow from a high pressure fan to be controlled automatically and adjustable from 60 m3/h to 800 m3/h and both the fractional separation efficiency and the loading of the complete filters to be recorded and evaluated.

The rig also incorporates a facility to test filter media up to a size of approx. 220 x 500 mm in the test channel under the same conditions.

In order to test the influence of the real ambient conditions on the separation characteristics of filters, the CIF 2000 test rig can be upgraded to include climate control, allowing for the adjustment of temperatures between +18°C and +90°C and of relative humidities from 30%RH up to 70%RH.

The test rig can be optionally upgraded with the supply of measuring devices for gas analysis for assessment of the dynamics of the absorption and desorption in accordance with DIN 71460-2 and BS ISO 11155-2:2009.
